Fulfillment Rules and Restrictions
Delivery Policy
Alaska Industrial Hardware (AIH) offers reliable local delivery from all branch locations, getting the products you need to your jobsite, business, or home safely and on time. Order online or through your local branch and we’ll coordinate delivery, often same day when placed by noon, with free delivery on $100+ within participating service areas.
Service Hours
Deliveries are made Monday through Friday between 9:00 AM and 5:00 PM (local time), excluding holidays. To qualify for same-day delivery, orders must be placed by 12:00 PM; any orders placed after 1:00 PM will be scheduled for delivery on the next business day. AIH requires a signature upon delivery for all goods unless prior arrangements have been made.
Order Minimum & Delivery Fees
Free delivery is available for online orders of $100 or more (pre-tax, after discounts) within our standard service radius. Orders under $100 are subject to a $25 delivery fee and must be arranged directly through our Sales Team at 907-276-7201 or through your local AIH store. Free delivery applies only within the defined radius of participating AIH locations, and additional mileage or remote destinations may incur a distance-based surcharge. Additional fees may also apply for remote areas, after-hours delivery requests, or special handling needs.
Oversized & Heavy Items
To ensure safe and secure delivery, oversized or heavy items may require additional handling time, specialized equipment, or extra personnel, and any related charges will be communicated to you in advance. Standard delivery is available to ground-level locations such as a garage, jobsite, or curbside, though some deliveries may require customer-provided assistance or equipment such as a forklift, hand truck, or additional labor. For safety and liability reasons, AIH drivers cannot enter residences, climb stairs, or secure loads to customer vehicles.
Product & Warehouse Transfers (WT)
Transfers between AIH branches or warehouses may take up to two weeks to complete, and customers will be notified if additional time is required. Orders containing transfer items will not ship until all products are available, unless separate arrangements are made.
Delivery Limitations & Site Access
To maintain efficiency and safety, AIH may contact you one business day in advance to confirm site access, ground conditions, and delivery timing. Customers are responsible for ensuring safe, clear, and accessible delivery locations, including unobstructed driveways and unloading areas, as well as providing any necessary equipment to safely receive large or heavy shipments. Large or palletized orders may be delivered via freight carrier and require a representative onsite to receive and unload. If delivery cannot be completed due to customer unavailability, blocked or unsafe access, or incorrect address information, the order may be rescheduled and additional delivery or redelivery fees may apply.
Returns & Refunds
AIH does not offer return pickups, so items must be returned directly to your local AIH branch with your receipt or order confirmation. If your order arrives damaged or incorrect, please report the issue within five business days of receipt. Upon verification, AIH will issue an appropriate replacement, refund, or delivery fee credit. All returns are subject to AIH’s Return Policy and applicable product condition requirements.
Service Limitations & Exceptions
All delivery services are subject to product availability, safe access, weather conditions, and local regulations. Certain products, delivery zones, or handling requirements may involve additional charges or extended lead times, which will be communicated before the order is completed. AIH reserves the right to modify, suspend, or delay delivery operations in the event of severe weather, road closures, freight disruptions, or other safety hazards, and is not responsible for delays caused by circumstances beyond our control, such as natural disasters, transportation interruptions, or mechanical issues. Additional processing time may be required during holidays or peak seasons due to increased order volume. Customers who need accessibility accommodations are encouraged to contact their local AIH branch in advance for assistance.
Pick-Up / Will-Call Policy
Alaska Industrial Hardware (AIH) offers convenient Pick-Up / Will-Call service at all branch locations, allowing you to place an order online or through your local branch and collect it once it’s ready. This service saves you time and ensures product availability before you arrive.
Service Hours
Orders are available for pickup during normal business hours, though customers should check their local store for specific hours and any holiday schedule exclusions. Orders placed after 4:00 PM will be scheduled for pickup on the next business day unless other arrangements have been made in advance. You will receive a notification once your order is ready for pickup.
Pickup Requirements
A valid photo ID and order confirmation number are required at pickup, and the name on the order must match the ID presented. Signatures are required for all orders at the time of release. For business accounts, AIH may request a purchase order number or account authorization before releasing products. Any personal information collected for pickup verification is used solely to confirm order identity and will not be shared externally.
Hold Period & Order Cancellation
Will-Call orders are held for up to five business days from the time of notification, after which they may be canceled or returned to stock. Special-order or non-stock items may require a deposit and are non-cancelable or non-returnable once ordered. If you need an extension or need to make scheduling changes, please contact your local branch.
Product & Warehouse Transfers (WT)
Inter-branch or warehouse transfers may require up to two weeks to complete, and customers will receive status updates if additional time is needed. Items requested from other AIH locations are not guaranteed for same-day pickup.
Returns & Cancellations
All returned goods must be accompanied by a receipt or order confirmation, and special-ordered items may be subject to restocking and shipping fees. If your order arrives damaged or incorrect, please report the issue within five business days of pickup. Upon verification, AIH will provide an appropriate replacement, refund, or credit for the affected items. All returns must comply with AIH’s standard Return Policy and applicable product condition requirements.
Safety & Loading
For your safety, AIH staff can assist with product staging but cannot secure loads to customer vehicles, so customers should bring appropriate tie-downs, straps, or equipment to transport purchases safely. Oversized or heavy items may require customer-provided assistance or equipment, such as a forklift or hand truck. Curbside pickup is also available at select AIH locations—simply call upon arrival for assistance.
Notes & Exceptions
Pickup services are subject to product availability, safe access, weather conditions, and other local factors. AIH reserves the right to modify or suspend pickup operations in the event of unforeseen circumstances such as severe weather, road closures, or supply-chain disruptions. Certain products may be ineligible for pickup due to size, weight, or safety restrictions, and orders left beyond the hold period may incur restocking or handling fees. AIH also reserves the right to verify identity and payment authorization before releasing any order and is not liable for delays or cancellations caused by events beyond our control, including weather, natural disasters, or transportation disruptions.

Do your products need to be delivered beyond our local road routes? AIH has you covered! We offer dependable shipping to jobsites, businesses, and homes across Alaska. Simply place your order online or through your local branch, and we’ll take care of the rest. All shipments leave our Anchorage Fulfillment Center and typically depart the very next business day, ensuring your order arrives quickly and safely.

Rates
Shipping rates are determined by the shipping method and service level you select, along with the total weight of your order. Please note that shipping charges are non-refundable. All orders are billed at actual shipping rates with no added markup.
Multiple Packages
If your order includes multiple items, AIH may need to package them in separate parcels, which could result in multiple deliveries. We will always make every effort to ship your order in the most cost-effective way possible.
USPS Restrictions
AIH offers USPS shipping to all U.S. addresses, including Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, Guam, American Samoa, Palau, and the U.S. Virgin Islands. Each parcel may weigh up to 70 pounds and must not exceed 108 inches in combined length and circumference. Hazardous materials cannot be shipped via USPS. There are no order minimums, and standard delivery fees apply based on the shipping method, service level, and total order weight. Items over 70 pounds or exceeding 108 inches dimensionally are considered oversized and cannot be shipped via USPS; please select one of our other available shipping methods for these orders.
Returns & Refunds
Outbound shipping charges are non-refundable, and customers are responsible for return shipping costs unless other arrangements have been made.

Website Product Shipping Labels



Hazmat Item badge indicates that the product is classified as hazardous and cannot be shipped. However, it is still available for in-store pickup.
This badge is applied to all hazardous items that fall under the Hazmat Item Badge and indicates that the product cannot be shipped and must be picked up. This item cannot be shipped and must be picked up at your local store.
This symbol indicates that the item is oversized and cannot be shipped due to its dimensions or weight. While shipping is not available for this product, it can still be picked up directly from your local store.
